【摘要】:Themethodwillprovideinformationontheabilityofpipelinecoatingstoresistcracking,spalling,orothermechanicaldamageasaresultofbending.Ifthetestisappliedtocoatedpipesamplesfromcommercialproduction,theresultscanbeusedintheselectionofsimilarmaterialsforservice.Thetesthasapplicationasaqualitycontrolmethodwhenvariationsincoatingapplicationormaterialformulationmayaffectbendingperformance.1.1Thismethodcoverstestingtherelativeresistanceofpipelinecoatingstocrackingandspallingfromdeformationofthepipebyobservingtheeffectsofdiametralcompressionofringsamples.Themethodislimitedtothinfilmcoatingshavinganelongationnotexceeding5.0%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
