【摘要】:Directobservationofthesubsurfacebythecollectionofsoilandrocksamplesisanessentialpartofsitecharacterizationforenvironmentalpurposes(see7.1.7ofGuideD5730).Thisguideprovidesinformationonthemajortypesofsoilandrocksamplingdevicesusedondrillrigstoassistinselectionofdevicesthataresuitableforknownsitegeologicconditions,andprovidesamplesthatmeetprojectobjectives.Thisguideshouldnotbeusedasasubstituteforconsultingwithsomeoneexperiencedinsamplingsoilorrockinsimilarformationsbeforedeterminingthebestmethodandtypeofsampling.ThisguideshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithGuidesD2113andD6151anddrillingmethod-specificguides(seeGuidesD5781,D5782,D5783,D5784,D5872,D5875andD5876)aspartofdevelopingadetailedsiteinvestigationandsamplingplan(see5.1.5ofGuideD5730)forsitesthatrequiremobilizationofadrillrigforsubsurfaceinvestigations.Theselectionofdrillingmethodsandsamplingdevicesgoeshand-in-hand.Insomecasessoilsamplerequirementsmayinfluencechoiceofdrillingmethod,orconversely,typesofavailabledrillrigsmayinfluencechoiceofsamplingdevices.ThisguideshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithGuideD5434forfieldloggingofsoilandrocksamples,PracticeD5911fordataelementstoidentifyasoilsamplingsite,andwhereappropriate,PracticeD4220,forpreservingandtransportingsoilsamples,PracticeD5070forpreservingandtransportingrockcoresamples,PracticeD3694forpreparationofsamplecontainersandforpreservationoforganicconstituents,andPractice5088fordecontaminationoffieldequipmentusedatnonradioactivewastesites.1.1Thisguidecoversguidancefortheselectionofsoilandrocksamplingdevicesusedwithdrillrigsforthepurposeofcharacterizinginsituphysicalandhydraulicproperties,chemicalcharacteristics,subsurfacelithology,statigraphy,andstructure,andhydrogeologicunitsinenvironmentalinvestigations.
