【摘要】:ThisTechnicalSpecificationisonlyoneofmanytoolsavailableforuseinfiresafetyengineering.Itisintendedtobeusedinconjunctionwithmodelsforanalysisoftheinitiationanddevelopmentoffire,firespread,smokeformationandmovement,chemicalspeciesgeneration,transportanddecayandpeoplemovement,aswellasfiredetectionandsuppression.ThisTechnicalSpecificationistobeusedonlywithinthiscontextThisTechnicalSpecificationisintendedtoaddresstheconsequencesofhumanexposuretothelifethreatcomponentsoffireasoccupantsmovethroughanenclosedstructure.Thetime-dependentconcentrationsoffireeffluentsandthethermalenvironmentofafirearedeterminedbytherateoffiregrowth,theyieldsofthevariousfiregasesproducedfromtheinvolvedfuels,thedecaycharacteristicsofthosefiregases,andtheventilationpatternwithinthestructure(seeA.1).Oncethesearedetermined,themethodologypresentedinthisTechnicalSpecificationcanbeusedfortheestimationoftheavailableescapetime.ThisTechnicalSpecificationprovidesguidanceonestablishingtheprocedurestoevaluatethelifethreatcomponentsoffirehazardanalysisintermsofthestatusofexposedhumansubjectsatdiscretetimeintervals.Itmakespossiblethedeterminationofatenabilityendpoint,atwhichtimeitisestimatedthatoccupantswillnolongerbeabletotakeeffectiveactiontoaccomplishtheirownescape(seeA.2).Thelifethreatcomponentsaddressedincludefireeffluenttoxicity,heatandvisualobscurationduetosmoke.Twomethodsarepresentedforassessmentoffireeffluenttoxicity,thetoxicgasmodelandthemasslossmodel.Aspectssuchastheinitialimpactofvisualobscurationduetosmokeonfactorsaffectingthetimerequiredforoccupantstoescape,thetoxiceffectsofaerosolsandparticipatesandanyinteractionswithgaseousfireeffluentcomponentsandadversehealtheffectsfollowingexposuretofireatmospheresarenotconsideredinthisTechnicalSpecification(seetheIntroduction).
